The Hero's Journey from :
Master Keys Mastermind Alliance's
Last week we covered The Hero's Journey but I had started a two part blog the week before on Master Keys Mastermind Alliance's (MKMMA) training methods. So here I am writing a week late on the Hero's Journey.
While going through the Dade County Police Academy I also took and passed the First Aid Instructor Course and the Water Safety Course from the American Red Cross. Most people have a hard time doing just the police academy but I was an over achiever.
After leaving the Sheriff Department I started working at Sears as an outside salesman. This allowed me to do a couple of things. First I gave first aid classes at the store about once a year. Several employees told me that the training helped them with emergencies they had.
I was also able to arrange for my old high school to donate a class room for some evening classes I was giving. After about a year I had quit a following of people who would call the Red Cross to see if I was giving another class. I think they must have had a plant in some of my classes at some point to see why they were getting calls about my classes. There were two reasons that people attended my class. They were not the dry boring classes that most people gave.
First when we were studying a topic I related stories how my police buddies blew it. Police gave first aid back then, no EMTs. Second I had been trained in making artificial wounds that looked and acted like real wounds.
Every summer I would teach swimming from 8 to 11 AM Monday to Friday at the city pool near my house. I made up the schedule at work and schedule myself outside every morning. The outside salesmen did have to put in 8 to 12 hours in the store every week. Being the top salesman in our department in our store the first year and the Miami Group, 10 stores thereafter, no one minded. Maybe by giving more I got more, sales. Was I on my way to the Hero's Journey? I don't think so, too many parts missing. Due to the oil crisis of the mid 1970s our outside sales were shut down and I moved into sales within the store. That lasted a couple of years until I got tired of the confining natural of being inside the store.
Let us Fast Forward to current times. Am I taking the Hero Journey? I sure hope so. A few things that make me feel that way are the fact that I don't get mad like I used to. Yes things upset me but that is nothing compared to how it used to be.
While talking with my nurse at the VA about adding an antibody test yesterday; she made the statement "that course you're taking sure is helping you." Another big thing that happened is as follows. My MLM company I'll call A. and the Marketing Company that was supposed to build company A for us I'll call Company M. (want to stay with the rules of not recruiting inside MKMMA)
I was personally recruited by the owner of Company M to join Company A MLM opportunity. The program works like this: everyone signs up with Company M and pays $297 for solo ads which guarantee them at least 2 people in their down line for Company A within the next 30 days. After signing up with Company M an emailed with the proper link is sent to the person to join Company A. I understood that it was a simple math exercised, see below. Knowing that this person had just spent the last year building another company using solo ads and Company A having a good reputation I jumped on it. I was sent my link to sign up with Company A. This was in the middle of May.
By the end of August I had 50 people in my down line. After the last week of September I had 70 people in my down line. I'm on my way now and all you have to do is look at the math to see where I was headed.
# add running total where I
that month by month was
Month 1=2 June 2 3
Month 2=4 July 6 18
Month 3=8 August 14 50
Month 4=16 September 30 70
Month 5=32 October 62 72
Month 6=64 November 126 74
Month 7=128 December 254 75
As you can see for August and September I was way ahead of the norm. Then comes October and the bottom falls out. Bob as I'll call him stop returning calls or emails. I still listen to his team meetings to see if any thing has change.
On one of his latest Team Meeting it featured Harry who was my first sponsored person. Harry has found a program that does generates leads for this niche and now I plan to recruit using leads from Harry's program and Go90Grow methods. So am I getting things coming to me at the right time – YES.
Things just seem to keep happening. At first they were small things but as time passed they seem to keep getting bigger and bigger. So I feel that I'm on the Hero Journey. Time will tell.
