I went to print a 3X5 index card with my printer and it wouldn't print. I spend about a half hour trying to correct the problem and could not. Next I called Sam's Tech Support and explained my problem. After thirty minutes they transfer me to HP Level II support. I spoke with a very nice young man who I allow to access my computer and work on their software. We tried to print several times in 2 trays (photo and main) with 2 positions each. That was 4 different try to print on each try. Well, after an hour and 45 minutes he decided to send out his replacement.
I do have a confession to make here. After spending a few years working in the infamous "Call Center" when I first moved up here; I have been known to get upset with the representative who hear one key word and then recite a 3 to 5 minute script that has nothing to do with my problem. And much of the time it seems like English is their third or fourth language.
Where I worked we were monitor and if I had done the above; I would have been fired. I was there to give custom service and not just collect a pay check. I thrived in that environment because of my sales background.
So back to my current issue, I asked to speak with his supervisor. He transferred me to Dennis. I pass on compliments about his employee. We went over some more stuff and I got invited to move to Costa Rica where they are. Their weather sure beats Chicago's weather. We were on the phone about a half hour. He had David research the best printer for printing the cards when we thought I might be able to return the printer to Sam's and upgrade. The one, Model 8610, he found was about $50.00 more than the printer I had bought.
Over the weekend I found about all the new 3X5 cards we were to make with the "hug your bear" on the back. That is all the more reason to be able to print 3X5 cards. Maybe next the Master Key Mastermind Alliance will have us print up our DMP on the cards with Rocky and Bullwinkle on the back.
The Printer arrived late Monday. I finally got it up and running Tuesday and the old printer boxed up and ready to go backed. I had the same results trying to print the cards on the new printer. So I guess I better email my buddy Dennis let him know.
So on Wednesday comes more phone time. This time it is cut down to about one and a half hours. My old blueprint would have me seeing RED long before this point. I understand that they have to follow their guide lines before upgrading and this is an exception to their normal rules. They will call and confirm that they got the approval tomorrow.
Thursday comes and no call but I do get an email and it turns out to be better than a call. They want to know is model # 5740 is ok. I respond with a copy of David's email. Later that night I got back an email; advising me that the model #8610 was being shipped out to me, it will take 3 to 5 business days.
Why did I get a printer that was $50.00 more at retail price sent to me? Could the Master Key Mastermind Alliance course be the reason for the upgrade? Or better yet could Emerson's Give more – Get more been the reason?
I believe both, Mandino's Scroll II about giving love to everyone instead of what I used to give in situations like this. I never complain about how long we were on the phone or sounded frustrated. Give more get more, the more than four hours of phone time working with their people to try and correct the problem I was having with their printer.
Give More Get More.
My new HP 6830 arrived and working fine. Printed off 35 -- 3x5 index cards before being told we only need one with our Bear on the back. I was thinking of adding steam coming off the pot, didn't have time to add before checking printing, so it looks like my bear will be without steam.
